SEBASTIAN + KRISTY. lake cootharaba. qld. justin

I`ve been thinking since this day a few weeks back about this wedding, thoughts swirling in the back of my head. it stays with me.

Apart from on the phone and e-mail, I only just met Seb & Kristy the day before, for 10 minutes, while I was driving scouting locations just up north of Noosa. An area that I had never been to before. But the 10 minutes was enough to connect – and then they were off inside the church in Pomona for rehearsal. I had the feeling that I was in the right place and  in the right time.

maybe there were echoes with parts of my own life. their moving to a new place in the country from the city to set up a life. I understood and loved what they were doing. they had space. they had trees. they had pigs. they had farm books. they had dogs. they had adventure. they had connection. and I was totally drawn in.

and I was not the only one. their friends and family on the wedding day were all involved. nothing was hidden. everything was shared, everyone was giving. tears lived in my eyes and still they live there. and I thank Seb & Kristy, and Angela & Joe, and Sam & Maria, and Maria and Rob, and Tony and Santina, and Sam, and Christos & Loukia and all the rest of their family and friends.

This was a truly beautiful wedding and as Pooh would say, a day full of wonderful.

flora - oh my, I love this dress! Anyone know where to purchase Collette Dinnigan in the US?

Kristy - justin. thank you just does not cut it. knowing the day was being captured by such a talented man made it that bit easier to just relax.. & what a gift that is. you captured all the moments we missed as the day flew by.. seb watching for me through the church window (i would never have known!), the kids playing on the lawn and in the pool room (made us feel happy they were having fun too). we also noticed the way you captured the essence of each individual. no one was rigid or posed because they all felt so comfortable in your presence. even the ‘impossible to capture’ connor stood still for a moment & allowed you to capture his gentle soul. i could go on forever but you get the drift.. we are grateful. seb & kristy.

carmen - Your ability to capture the soul of that day, the softness and tenderness, the emotion and love is incredible. I feel as though I can sense you through the photos and yet it doesn’t seem as though there could possibly be someone with camera anywhere in sight. Well done Justin!
